Beyond the Waiting Room is a human-centered design capstone exploring how the physical and functional design of outpatient clinics shapes the experiences of patients, staff, and providers. Through research, journey mapping, and participatory design tools, this project looks beyond the waiting area to understand how clinic layout, workflows, communication, and everyday touchpoints influence the quality of care.
Outpatient clinic design is not just about how a space looks — it is about how the space works for the people receiving and delivering care.
Beyond the Waiting Room helps clinics see their environment as part of the care experience and gives teams a way to move from everyday friction toward shared understanding and practical improvement.

7/11 Slurpedia- Slurpedia is a concept for an internal research-sharing platform designed to help product designers and researchers at 7-Eleven integrate user insights into design decisions for the 7NOW delivery app.
Our team explored how persona research could be transformed from static documents into a living, collaborative knowledge system that keeps designers connected to real user insights throughout the product development process.
